Demajo, who joined Time Out in November 2006, will retain her existing duties as well as taking on some of the responsibilities of former group marketing director John Luck, who left last November. However, Demajo will not pick up the international responsibilities formerly held by Luck.
Additionally, Demajo will be responsible for upping the magazine’s subscriber base through direct marketing initiatives.
Demajo will have five staff reporting into her: Anna Shardlow, online marketing manager; Yvonne Poon, Time Out Guide marketing manager; Tom Peel, magazine marketing executive; plus two marketing designers.
The appointment follows a recent revamp of its London edition with the aim of bringing the title’s print and online products closer together.
