Called ‘Meerchat', the podcast, created by VCCP, features news as well as interviews with a number of stars ranging from Hollywood A-listers to industry leaders. In the first podcast, launching today, Aleksandr speaks to David Hasselhoff about Baywatch as well as the social networking site HoffSpace.
The podcast is available to download on the website comparethemeerkat.com and from iTunes. Aleksandr now has more than 500,000 fans on Facebook and over 20,000 Twitter followers.
David Hasselhoff said: ‘I've heard so much about Aleksandr - it was a real pleasure to finally meet him and an honour to be the first guest on his monthly chat show. I‘ve always been pretty big over in Moscow, but he's taking it to another level. We had a little chat, discussed life, America's Got Talent, and beauty secrets - he's a real top kat!'
The Aleksandr toy doll is currently on sale at Harrods with a percentage of profits from sales going to London Zoo for conservation work.
