The 12 winners of the London 2012 'Artists taking the lead' arts commissions were chosen from more than 2,000 entries.
The winning ideas include 'Bus tops' in the capital – featuring special LED messages displayed on the roofs of bus stops – that provide Londoners with a unique way of communicating with each other.
In Northern Ireland, composer Brian Irvine and artist John McIlduff will create 'The Nest', an installation made up of personal possessions donated by local people that will inspire a new musical composition.
