As we're sure you've seen, , featuring a new Mog the Cat story by Judith Kerr. ±±¾©Èü³µpk10's James Swift reports that Sainsbury’s worked with Kerr and her publisher, HarperCollins Children’s Books, to develop the story and turn it into a three-and-a-half-minute ad that mixes live action and animation.

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO was behind the work, called "Mog’s Christmas calamity". AMV’s joint executive creative directors, Adrian Rossi and Alex Greive, came up with the idea.

The TV spot was directed by James Rouse through Outsider. PHD handled media. Framestore animated Mog. Here's a behind the scenes look at the making of the spot.

Sentiment of social media towards the ad has been very favourable, even if only touched the sides of the impact John Lewis' ad had.

±±¾©Èü³µpk10's Omar Oakes looked at , and found there were 2,214 tweets mentioning the ad in the first hour, compared to 22,429 tweets about the John Lewis ad.

The words most used to describe the ad were "festive", "magical" and "charming".

Three 10-second spots will appear in the first ad break of this evening’s episode of Coronation Street. They will also be available on the brand’s YouTube channel.

They aim to build excitement ahead of this Saturday’s launch of an ad to promote Giant Crumpets, which will feature a mystery celebrity.

Mindshare Huddle: BuzzFeed boss Peretti warns of using online ads that 'don't care about readers'

Online publishers are paying the price for using intrusive, and "terrible" third-party software, which has given rise to a surge in ad-blocking use, said .

Peretti was being interviewed by broadcaster Rick Edwards and went on to say.

Movember: Social Innovators Challenge

Movember's Social Innovators Challenge is calling on the brightest and most creative minds in the UK. If any of said minds are reading this 18:05 bulletin (and we're assuming that's all of you), please make yourselves known.

The challenge is to generate ideas that can help strengthen social connections between men.

Encouraging men to be more socially connected and drawing on these relationships when they go through tough times and transitions in life is a critical priority for the Movember Foundation as we seek to improve the health and wellbeing of men and contribute to the reduction in the number of men that die by suicide. Having identified some of the key challenges that need to be addressed, we are now launching this international challenge to test and prove the best ideas to help increase the level of social connectedness among men.
