
A 400-seat raised catwalk will be created, surrounded by a bed of flowers, where the shows will tell the story of British fashion and iconic style over the past sixty years, showcasing companies that have been awarded the Royal Warrant of Appointment.
Event organiser Media 10 has confirmed five catwalk shows for each day, with a mix of four themes collectively paying tribute to the six varied decades since the Coronation of The Queen in 1953.
Show themes will include vintage picnic, reinvention, best of British, and diamonds and pearls.
The catwalk will be designed to blend in with the gardens taking the guise of a paved stone garden path. Audience bench seating will give the illusion of crafted topiary hedges.
Savile Row tailors, including Gieves & Hawkes and Henry Poole & Co, will join fellow Royal Warrant holders Austin Reed, Hunter Boots, Ettinger, John Lewis and Peter Jones to showcase their latest collections.
A few unlikely catwalk candidates may also find themselves creatively taking part in the shows, such as Roberts Radio and Bendicks Chocolates.
The catwalk will also feature specially commissioned pieces from contemporary London designer Joey Bevan, which could include dresses made from Jaguar Land Rover and Bentley car parts, and origami paper dresses using materials from Talk Paper and Tom Smith c/o International Greetings.
In addition to the catwalk entertainment, visitors to the Coronation Festival will also be able to explore the gardens and exhibitor marquees. A range of traditional crafts and small local producers to multinational companies will showcase their products and services at the event, which will be split in to four dedicated areas: food and drink, design and technology; homes and gardens; and style, pursuits and pastimes.
