Mitchell has joined from experiential marketing agency LoewyBe Face to Face where, as sales director, he delivered turnover growth from 拢2.3m in 2004 to an estimated 拢7m in 2006.
Connection is a consortium specialising in data gathering and analysis, campaign planning and consumer contact, It is led by Graham Ede, chief executive of Moon River Group, and has six member companies.
Connection aims to offer clients a range of customer management services, apart from creative services, without the large fixed overheads that would pressure it to cross-sell to every client.
The consortium includes three Moon River firms: Ion Group, Navigator and data management and insight firm Thinkdata. There are three other members: data specialist Metriq, experiential marketing agency LA Promotions and affinity marketing agency Mediator.
"We are all successful businesses in our own right, but have a track record in delivering joined-up solutions between us for a wide variety of clients," Ede said.
Member companies already work with major brands such as Tesco, Ikea, Audi and NatWest.
