In the deal, Ion becomes a partner for Mazda's contact centre work, covering a raft of marketing and customer care activity including phone, email and SMS campaigns, as well as database work for its sales staff.
Graham Ede, Ion Group managing director, said: "We are very excited about this opportunity and believe that Mazda and Ion's brand values will complement each other. Like Mazda, we also believe in the importance of innovation and pushing back the boundaries, without jeopardising customer care and performance."
This latest hire comes as Mazda increases its marketing support, particularly for its fleet arm and will see Ion agents give support to fleet sales staff within dealerships.
Daniel Brown, Mazda CRM manager, said: "We have chosen Ion as our contact centre partner because we trust it to maintain and build upon our customer services and marketing efforts, plus we wanted to use a company that held brand values that were complimentary to those of Mazda."
