MoonRiver appoints Ede as chief executive

LONDON - Customer management specialist MoonRiver Group has appointed Graham Ede, managing director of its Ion Group subsidiary, as chief executive.

Established in 1991, MoonRiver Group provides clients with services to help them audit their interactions with customers. In 2004 it acquired the Ion Group, formed in 1995 by Ede.

In August last year, the company created marketing services company NavigatorMBO by acquiring multichannel contact company MBO and merging it with its own Navigator Customer Management business.

Its founder Stephen Woodward joined and was made chairman of MoonRiver Group. Stewart Millington, chief executive before Ede, and co-founder and managing director of MoonRiver, will take an assistant chairman role alongside Ede.

Earlier this year, the group launched the Connection consortium, specialising in data gathering and analysis, campaign planning and consumer contact.

Ede said: "The MoonRiver Group has already established itself as a leading customer management group and now with the launch of Connection will embrace a more holistic approach to marketing by being part of the only customer value management consortium of its kind.

"We believe that no one offers the full range of data-based strategies and services required to practically deliver all aspects of customer value management to the highest standard."

The Connection consortium includes several MoonRiver companies, as well as a handful of third-party organisations, including LA Promotions, Metriq and Mediator.

Ede added: "There were attempts to create marketing services conglomerates a few years ago, but they fell flat because consultancy and service standards were inconsistent, and clients felt that their power to choose was being suppressed. The beauty of Connection is that it delivers top quality while retaining client choice."
