Speaking at a breakfast presentation today (15 September), Nicholas Coleridge, managing director of Condé Nast, confirmed iPad apps will be launched for the December issues of the technology magazine and the fashion bible, and added that apps for GQ and Brides were also in the pipeline.

The Wired iPad app is being developed by an expanded editorial team and will be overseen by Wired editor David Rowan and art director Andrew Diprose. It will have many of the features of the Wired US app.

Vogue editor Alexandra Shulman and creative director Robin Derrick will work with Spring Studios and Six-Creative to develop the Vogue app, aiming to set the industry benchmark for digital fashion content.

The apps will be made available through iTunes and will command a fee, although the prices are currently being kept under wraps.
