Kershaw has been appointed as non-executive chairman. He founded a new business, Kershaw Partners in February, having in March.
In his new role, Kershaw will aim to drive the agency’s growth through strategic acquisitions and product development.
AOK Events has delivered events for brands such as Microsoft, ITV and Thomas Cook, and also offers hospitality and venue finding services.
Alex Hewitt, chief executive and founder of AOK Events, said: "Having someone of Mike’s experience heading our board is great news for AOK Events. I am personally very much looking forward to working with him to help take our fantastic agency to even greater heights."
Kershaw added: "l have known [Hewitt] for many years and always enjoyed working with him. AOK Events is a great business with huge potential and a lovely team of people, so I am very much looking forward to helping them build an exciting future."
