Mash Events confirmed it has taken on events from the now defunct Zinc Events. The latter was owned by Julian Agostini, who is also managing director of Mash Events.

The resolution for the winding up of Zinc Events took place on 8 May 2009 through insolvency practitioner Wilson Field.

Shape08, held at Earls Court last year and part of the Zinc Events portfolio, has been postponed for this year, but Beyond Boundaries Live, held at FIVE in Farnborough, is still going ahead on 4 and 5 July.

Further events from Zinc are expected to be run by Mash Events in the future.

Mash Events, managing director Julian Agostini told Event that he felt it was important for Beyond Boundaries Live to continue.

"It is not just an important event for our industry but it makes a huge difference to the visitors and the disabled community at large. The only option we had to keep the event alive was for Mash Events to rescue the situation in order to move the event forward," he added.
