The service is independent of any mobile operator or manufacturer, and works with most Java-supported handsets. It delivers the top 10 stories in world news, and users only pay one SMS fee to request the service and their normal operator GPRS tariffs to use it.
Xerox branding appears as the service starts, on the home page and on pages across the service.
