The US show will have a similar format to the UK event, which is in its third year, and took place this week at Olympia from 19 – 20 April. It will feature seminars, workshops and exhibitors from the defence and security sector.
"The launch of Counter Terror Expo in the United States will significantly expand Clarion Events’ position in the North American market, especially for our highly respected security and defence portfolio," said Clarion Defence and Security managing director Tim Porter.
"Our unique expo and conference will offer a central venue for attendees from Department of Defense, Department of Homeland Security, first responders and other government agencies to gain a greater understanding of emerging threats as well as the solutions available to detect and reduce future risks."
Clarion Events bought Counter Terror Expo from Niche Events in 2009 with a three year handover period.
2012 will be the last year Niche Events will organise the show, after that Clarion will bring the show in-house.
