The show arrives following Bauer’s appointment of Stuart Williams to the newly created role of managing director, live events and strategic partnerships with the brief of expanding the firm’s live portfolio.
"Live Events is a key area of growth for Bauer Media and Stuart's role was created especially to accelerate our ambitions in this market via our influential entertainment brands," said Bauer Media CEO Paul Keenan.
"This is a new direction for Bauer Media and I am confident that Big Screen will be a successful and compelling addition to the Empire brand."
The event will take place from 12 – 14 August at the O2. Films that could be featured at the show include Pirates of the Caribbean 4, Transformers 3D and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2.
