It is Clarion's first acquisition in Germany and has lead to birth of Clarion Survey, which will be the company brand name responsible for ZOW and two other events.
ZOW was searching for a major partner to help it grow and this deal enables the existing team to work with Clarion Events.
The immediate effects of the agreement will be increased capital available to the current management team. ZOW will stay in its home in the kitchen and furniture heartland of Bad Salzuflen by virtue of a long contractual commitment to the venue. The shape and nature of the event will not change, it will continue to focus on serving the domestic German market.
Owner Peter H. Meyer welcomed the agreement: "I am excited to be working with a growing company that is committed to taking us to our next level and at the same time has ensured stability for my staff, customers and stakeholders."
Clarion Events CEO Simon Kimble commented: "We are delighted to announce the formation of Clarion Survey and look forward to seeing it flourish."
