Clarion Events chief executive Simon Kimble said that despite the underlying economic outlook there were significant opportunities in South Asia, the Middle East and North Africa.
Clarion Events subsidiary Synergy BV has opened an office in Singapore's business district Suntec City.
Synergy managing director Frank de Krujff said: "Singapore will give us the platform to launch a wide variety of energy events, targeting the leading professionals involved in shaping the energy utility industry in the region."
