Laura Mitchell, Champagne Lanson regional key account manager, said: "We are thrilled to be part of this brand new event in the heart of Chester, which is a great heritage city to visit at any time of year and looks absolutely magical with its sparkling seasonal decorations.
"We look forward to sharing the delights of Lanson White Label with visitors to the Christmas market. Our champagnes will certainly add a taste of distinction to the event and give everyone a great start to the festive celebrations."
The rejuvenated market focuses on local producers of food, arts and crafts, after Chester ditched its regular European-style Christmas market in 2010.
A Christmas winter wonderland was launched in the same year in the city's Castle Square and was run by Mellors. The winter wonderland now takes place at Chester Racecourse featuring an ice skating rink, traditional fairground and Santa's grotto.
Marketing Cheshire will be working closely with Cheshire West and Chester Council events team and other city partners as part of a wider festive programme of events in the city.
This includes Chester Zoo's Lantern Magic, Christmas events at Chester Cathedral, a light switch-on parade on 21 November and long established events such as the Winter Watch and the Roman Saturnalia parades.
Anna Roberts, account manager at Marketing Cheshire, said: "We are delighted to be featuring the exciting new Lanson White Label to create a truly special seasonal event this year. Visitors will be able to enjoy a glass of their unique champagne as part of Chester's new festive experience."
