The first episode of the new seven-part series captured a 16% share of the audience, according to unofficial overnight figures.
The episode, which saw James Benamor swap running his £77m finance company for ten days in Moss Side, Manchester, was the second most-watched show at 9-10pm.
The penultimate episode of BBC One's 'Bonekickers' was the most popular show in the primetime slot, with 3.9m viewers and a 16.8% share at 9-10pm.
A repeat of Martin Clunes drama 'Doc Martin' brought ITV1 3.6m viewers and a 15.7% share in the same slot.
BBC Two's 'Jimmy Doherty's Farming Heroes' had 2m viewers and an 8.7% share between 9pm and 10pm.
Later on in the evening, the latest instalment of Channel 4's 'Big Brother' earned 3.5m viewers and a 19.5% share including Channel 4+1 ratings.
