She will present her bluffers guide to champagne and dispell the myth that supermarket own brand bubbly is no match for the traditional labels.
Powell said: "Champagne rightly has an unrivalled image as the drink with which to celebrate, but to me it’s a wine for all occasions. I want to help more people access the joys of champagne, to understand its great heritage, the intriguing complexity of its varieties and to earn their share of one of life’s true luxuries."
Powell added she is in demand by the business sector, particularly by companies looking for an original form of corporate engagement with their customers.
"I call it uncorking business and pleasure," Powell said. "Discerning business people are eager to learn the subtleties of the wine-makers art, and corporate hosts feel an expert yet accessible discourse on champagne adds to the stylish tone of their hospitality."
