Central Hall Westminster posts 20% turnover increase

Event space Central Hall Westminster has increased its turnover by more than 20% year-on-year.

Revenue at the venue grew from £4.4m to £5.3m in the last 12 months, which the venue attributes to a number of large overseas conferences and award ceremonies.

The impressive figure comes in the year in which the venue reached its centenary.

Paul Southern, managing director of Central Hall Westminster, said: "This outstanding result was achieved despite Central Hall Westminster not hosting any of the large scale events surrounding the 2012 Olympics. I am very proud of the way the team has adapted to the very tough market conditions."

Some of the venue's biggest events in 2012 have included the , which included guests such as Novak Djokovic, Clive Owen and Bar Rafaeli.
