The companies include Drive Productions, One Big Star, Oxygen, Quintessentially Events, RPM and The Live Firm. Cancer Research UK revealed several agencies have already been briefed to work on a number of projects.

Kate Eden, head of brand at Cancer Research UK, said: "In our relentless fight to beat cancer sooner, we need to deliver our inspiring brand message across every area of our organisation. We’re confident that our new creative agencies will help us communicate our message with even greater impact.

"These creative partnerships will strengthen our connection with our extensive range of audiences, helping us to bring forward the day when all cancers are cured."

In 2010, RPM developed an interactive roadshow on behalf of Cancer Research UK to warn young people about the unseen damage caused by overexposure to the sun. The ten-day Sun Damages roadshow aimed to educate sun-worshipping 16 to 24 year-olds on protecting their skin from sunburn using shade, clothing and sunscreen.

Drive Productions also worked for the charity in the same year on its Sound & Vision guitar auction, which was attended by 100 VIP guests and held at Rolls-Royce in London’s Berkeley Square.
