CACI moves into online lead generation

LONDON - Lifestyle data owner CACI has started generating leads for automotive and laptop manufacturers by monitoring the activity of registered users on Dennis Publishing's car and PC websites.

The service is called iConnect. The basic option tells a car marketer, for example, when and how many times a user has read an article mentioning a particular brand and/or model of car and what their contact details are.

For a higher cost per lead CACI will add its own demographic and geographic data to the profile of the user. Leads can be delivered as often as the client requires.

Jonathan Burston, sales director at CACI, said he was not ready to disclose pricing details because CACI was still testing pricing models.

"We have launched iConnect to bridge the gap between monitoring consumers' website activity and turning them into prospects, so that organisations can see what products and brands are being considered and then engage customers in the most effective way possible."

It is the first time CACI has worked with an online publisher to provide lead generation for clients.

Its partnership with Dennis grew out of its work for the publisher on the creation of a single customer view database.

The service only supplies information on users who have registered on a Dennis website and agreed to receive third party communications.
