Burghley House redesigns website

LONDON - Burghley House, one of England's grandest Elizabethan houses, has redesigned its website.

Burghley.co.uk now features a new homepage, events diary and young visitors section, along with in-depth details about exhibitions, conservation, staterooms and the gardens at Burghley.

The website also has a searchable database that users can access to obtain images and details about some of the 5,000 items in the Burghley collection, including paintings, furniture, statues, silver and ceramics.

It also features an online store with selected Burghley-branded products for sale.

Miranda Rock, director of Burghley House, said: "For those who know Burghley, this new-look website offers a terrific way of keeping in touch with everything that's happening not only in the House, but on the estate as well.

"For those who don't yet know what a great attraction Burghley is to visit, we think our new website will really tempt them to come along and see it for themselves."
