Burger King and McCann-Erickson to part

LONDON - McCann-Erickson is losing its Burger King account, but other Interpublic agencies could pick up parts of the business.

The Diageo-owned arm is talking to Weber Shandwick about handling global public relations and Octogan about sports marketing. Campbell Mithum will stay as the kids advertising agency.

Vice president of global advertising and promotion Richard Taylor said it was a mutual agreement to phase out Burger King's relationship with the agency. He would not name a successor agency.
