LONDON (Brand Republic) 鈥 Lowe Lintas, the incumbent agency on Burger King鈥檚 the $400m US advertising account, may not have made it through to the final shortlist of two in the long-running review, according to reports in the US.
The agency pitched alongside Saatchi & Saatchi, Grey Worldwide, McCann Erickson Worldwide, Campbell Mithun, Publicis and Hal Riney this week. It is understood Burger King has slashed the list to 鈥渁t least two鈥, but it is not known whether Lowe Lintas is one of them.
Concepts from the finalists will be produced and tested before a final decision is made, according to industry sources.
The account has been held by the agency in its former Ammirati Puris Lintas incarnation since 1994. APL merged with Lowe & Partners Worldwide nearly a year ago to form Lowe Lintas.
The review does not include Burger King鈥檚 UK advertising, which is handled by Lowe Lintas in London.
