Breast Cancer ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 appoints Liz Monks as director of fundraising

LONDON - Breast Cancer ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 has appointed Liz Monks, executive director of fundraising at Action for Children, as its director of fundraising.

Monks has previously held positions at charities including AIDS charity Terence Higgins Trust, Royal National Institute for Deaf People and homelessness organisation Shelter.

Heading the fundraising team at Breast Cancer ±±¾©Èü³µpk10, Monks will be responsible for maintaining and developing existing income streams including corporate and individual giving as well as develop fresh support for its research into the disease.

Breast ±±¾©Èü³µpk10 currently has ties with brands including Asda, Debenhams and Filofax; it ran a Valentine's themed campaign in February in which celebrity-designed pink Filofaxes were auctioned online to raise money for the charity.

Its first Pedal it Pink cycling challenge was held in Liverpool's Sefton Park last weekend (19 April) and the charity's annual Wear it Pink campaign will debut on 30 October to coincide with Breast Cancer Awareness Week.
