Blumenthal, who worked with Walkers on the campaign, said one of the real challenges with the final six flavours was to turn them into "something that not only tasted good, but was indicative of what was on the packet".
He said he enjoyed working with Walkers and will only collaborate with a brand if it allows him to use what he's learned in that work in his own cooking at The Fat Duck in Bray, Berkshire.
Blumenthal said: "I think chefs can learn a lot from the technical side of companies like Walkers.
"But sometimes what will happen is, companies will say we want to work with you so we want all your ideas, but actually you have to sign these papers and can't use anything you've learned from this.
"You think, what is the motivation for doing it?
"So, if I'm not allowed to take any of that inspiration and take it back to my cooking, then I'm not interested in [working with them]."
