Blood-curdling Friday the 13th viral warns 'Yur Nexxt'

LONDON - Digital creative agency Ralph has created a gruesome viral campaign which shows a murder via a webcam and a warning to viewers that they are next, to mark the launch of Paramount Pictures' remake of the classic horror film 'Friday the 13th'.

The viral is launching in the UK first before going global in nine languages and 23 territories including Spain, France, Brazil, Sweden and Portugal.

Recipients are emailed a link to a"live" webcam and chatroom for a company called

The site asks for the recipients name and their date of birth -- entry will be refused to those under 18.

The recipient is then welcomed by other members of the chatroom, creating a false sense of friendship before witnessing the masked killer's (Jason) gruesome slaying of Carly captured live by webcam.

After some shaky camera angles and stomach churning sounds the final shot is of Carly's arm, a personalised message from Jason carved into her flesh, which warns the viewer "Yur Nexxt".

Chris Hassell, creative director at Ralph, said: "Many virals today are boring, corporate and unimaginative.

"Our viral changes that by offering viewers a slice of drama just as they would expect to see in the film.

"Here at Ralph and Co we are proud to challenge the norm and continue to deliver truly innovative and creative campaigns that will be talked about for a long, long time."

Ralph was also behind the viral campaign for the US serial killer TV drama 'Dexter', which proved so controversial that Ralph received calls of complaint from the public and Scotland Yard Police.
