Blinkbox to offer paid streams of blockbuster films

LONDON - Blinkbox is to offer blockbuster films as paid-for streams, following an agreement with Warner Bros and seven additional content partners.

Warner Bros, an existing content provider, extended its partnership with
Blinkbox by licensing the rights to more than 1,100 full-length feature films and TV programmes, including Body of Lies, RocknRolla, Dark Knight; ER and Smallville.

In addition, six other content partners, including Cinetic Rights Management, Revolver Entertainment and Black Ddark knightiamond, will provide more than 250 titles on Blinkbox.com, the total comprising more than 1,500 hours of viewing.

The new agreements will enable users to rent and buy premium movie and TV titles with immediate access.

The service offers three different streaming rates - high, medium and low - and users will be able to select different speeds depending on their internet connection.
