Billington Cartmell names Lawrie as head of digital

LONDON - Billington Cartmell has hired Craig Lawrie from MRM Worldwide to be its new head of digital communications.

Lawrie will focus on areas including social networking, user-generated content and how brands and consumers interact in the digital age.

He joins from MRM Worldwide, where he spent two years working on the integrated McCann Worldgroup Intel account, leading Intel's digital advertising in EMEA, and working with McCann's New York headquarters.

Before that, Lawrie worked with the digital advertising team at AKQA for three years with clients including InterContinental Hotels, Nike, Xbox, Orange, Samsung and Yell.

Billington Cartmell works across a number of different disciplines, including promotions, sampling and direct marketing.

Recent campaigns include a tie-up between Weetabix and the children's film 'Surf's Up', and a sales push by Ordnance Survey in conjunction with the National Trust.
