Big Issue turns to Upstairs Creative for charity viral

The Big Issue Foundation has commissioned digital agency Upstairs Creative to produce a video to promote a fundraising walk across London for the charity.

The 90-second film aims to raise the profile of the charity’s Big Night Out Walk, where supporters can join Big Issue vendors on a 25k night walk of the capital's streets in October.

The video shares the story of four vendors whose lives have been transformed with the charity’s help.

Catherine Johnson, Upstairs Creative producer, said: "Making the video with the Big Issue really touched us. We work exclusively with charities, so we see a lot of amazing things, but this shoot was particularly special – we were able to interact directly with the people who are helped by the charity."

Jay Hunt, fundraising events manager at the Big Issue Foundation, said:  "Last year, 235 Big Issue supporters joined us on the Big Night Out Walk. We raised a lot of money and had a fantastic time doing it. We want to grow on the first year's success and the video from Upstairs Creative will ensure that we reach as many people as possible."

Participants on the walk will also be able to view famous venues that will open their doors exclusively in support of the charity.
