The portal, created by mobile content firm Volantis, will be available to anyone with mobile internet access, and carries news, information and gossip on the housemates, as well as videoclips and downloads.
The design reflects the TV show and website content, and will include real-time updates of news, editorial commentary, video streaming, ringtones, images, games, quizzes, competitions and voting capabilities.
It will let people keep in touch with the action from the 'Big Brother' house, starting from the first day of broadcast -- May 27.
With last year's series drawing 5m viewers and 15m votes cast by SMS, Volantis is predicting that the mobile portal will quickly become the most popular direct-to-consumer mobile portal in the UK.
Ian Meakin, vice-president of marketing at Volantis, said: "Channel 4's innovation in putting hugely popular TV content on to mobile will significantly drive UK mass market usage of the mobile internet past the 1.5bn mobile web pages viewed each month."
Channel 4 is promising that this year's show will make it even tougher for contestants. It has been revealed that the house will be made of far more glass than in previous years, so that contestants will be able to see what their fellow housemates are up to at all times -- even when they are in another room.
The show is being hosted once again by Davina McCall and Dermot O'Leary.
