
Bebo recently partnered with mobile operators such as Orange, T-Mobile and O2 to introduce new programmes and encourage users to message, blog and check their profiles regularly throughout the day.
Kane, who joins from mobile social networking platform provider Intercasting Corporation, will head the development of the mobile experience for Bebo's 45m users worldwide.
Bebo has ramped up its links with media operators in recent weeks, signing deals with Virgin Mobile, which will sponsor its current web TV series, and an ad revenue sharing partnership with Orange.
