Beaven and Roberts named directors on Future board

LONDON - Future Publishing has made two appointments to its board, with Dom Beaven named publishing director of its digital division and Mia Roberts taking the role of publishing director of the games division.

Beaven replaces John Weir, who leaves the company at the end of June. Beaven has been running Future Network's subsidiary FXM International, which manages Future's international Xbox-related activity outside the US, since June 2002.

Roberts steps up to publishing director from her current role of group publisher, where she was responsible for Future's 13 games titles.

Robert Price, managing director of Future Publishing, said: "These are extremely well-deserved promotions. Dom and Mia have excellent track records, with extensive publishing and marketing experience. They will play a key part in achieving Future's growth plans by growing their portfolios, seeking opportunities in new and existing sectors and by maximising profitability."
