Beatwax erected a water screen, 22 metres high by 30 metres wide, in the middle of the Thames, and projected a huge image of the Dr Manhattan character onto it.

The promotional stunt on 4 March for new comic-book movie Watchmen created a translucent and shimmering form of Dr Manhattan, against a backdrop of landmarks such as the London Eye and Houses of Parliament.

Other footage from Watchmen was also projected onto the water screen, along with a smiley-face badge, a well-known symbol from the comic.

Beatwax worked with EMF Technology and Capital Pleasure Boats on the stunt.
