In the second round of the corporate entertainment talent competition, which takes place next Tuesday (15 July) at Brooklyn Bowl London, contestants will be required to tailor their act to fit a specific brief, which has been made up by Beat the Brief’s organisers Sternberg Clarke.
Inspired by the heat’s location, the pretend brief is for the launch of a new chain of restaurants called Bowled Over. The restaurants all contain bowling alleys and are themed in 1950s style with a modern twist, serving gourmet fast food, flame grilled, and served in half a bowling ball.
Acts will have to create a performance for the client’s launch party for press and prospective clients, prior to the speeches, to engage the audience and to reflect the brand.
The who will go head-to-head in heat two of Beat the Brief 2014 include comedian Chris Turner, violinist Sid Bowfin, musical theatre group The Showstoppers, aerial duo Syndicate Circus, magician Michael Jordan and specialist fire act Spark Fire Dance.
To attend next week's Beat the Brief heat, email Ben Lloyd Evans from Sternberg Clarke to register your place.
