
The news comes days before the first six contestants will compete against one another in the first heat, taking place next Monday (19 May) at London’s Café de Paris.
Beat the Brief, a talent competition organised by Sternberg Clarke, in partnership with Event magazine, aims to seek out the best performers who can demonstrate how well they can entertain a corporate audience by following a brief and adapting it accordingly.
In total, 18 acts will take part in one of three live heats during the coming months. They will perform in front of a live industry audience, as well as an expert panel judges.
One act will be picked from each live heat, which will then go on to perform in the final, taking place at this year’s Event Awards at Troxy on 2 October.
Judges include , director of Sternberg Clarke; , news editor at Event magazine; and , events and sales director at Café de Paris.
Also joining the judging line-up is Lynden Bugler, event manager for British Airways, and Liz Lockard, group events manager at Haymarket Publishing
