BBC plans multimedia campaign for Good Homes title

LONDON - BBC Magazines is investing £500,000 in a multimedia campaign to promote BBC Good Homes as part of a £12m marketing spend over the next five years.

Activity breaking on December 29 will promote its February and March issues, as well as a reader competition to win a £50,000 home makeover.

The outdoor-focused activity will be supported by a two-week radio campaign on Chrysalis-owned Heart 106.2 and Heart 100.7.

Poster ads will feature a tortoise with a jewel-encrusted shell to show the creativity in home improvement that can be achieved by reading the magazine.

Miles Calcraft Briginshaw Duffy created the campaign, with media planning and buying by PHD.

BBC Good Homes' last ABC, for January-June 2004, revealed a 13.2% year-on-year rise and a 13% gain on the previous six months.
