MySpaceTV users will be able to subscribe to the advertising-supported BBC channel to view and share a host of three-minute clips from programmes including 'The Catherine Tate Show', 'Red Dwarf', 'Robin Hood' and 'Torchwood'.
The two companies will share advertising revenue, but they did not disclose the specific financial terms of the agreement.
has been seeking to increase the video content available on its site. Last year, it became a distribution partner for , the joint venture between parent News Corp and NBC Universal. Hulu.com was set up to rival Google's YouTube after the two broadcasters became angry over the way their content was used on the video-sharing website.
BBC Worldwide already signed a deal with in March last year to distribute its content on the video-sharing site. BBC Worldwide's YouTube channel features the same shows that will appear on MySpace, as well as celebrity interviews from Michael Parkinson.
Similar to the deal struck with MySpace, the corporation shares the ad revenue with YouTube for placing its TV programmes on the site.
