Avon lady goes digital with her first podcast

LONDON - Avon is introducing its first podcast in an attempt to further move its business model from doorstep to digital. The 'digital Avon lady' will feature make-up artist Jackie Tyson and real life Avon representative, Hannah Rowlett, and will go live on August 26.

In the podcast the two women will answer questions inspired by typical questions posed by customers to Avon's 170,000 UK representatives. Content will include tips and handy hints on how to get the latest looks and which hot new products are a must this Autumn.

The opening podcast will focus on Avon's collaboration with Marimekko, the Finnish design house which lends its floral motif to Avon's colour collection.

It will also feature a discussion on Avon's new fragrance launches: the exclusive Bond Girl 007 perfume, available nationwide from October and the partnership between Avon and leading French design house, Emanuel Ungaro, which has produced 'U by Ungaro'.

Avon's second podcast will hone in on its relationship with Breakthrough Breast Cancer in October and will review its new fundraising products on offer this year.
