Audible launches animated campaign voiced by Steven Berkoff

Audible, Amazon's audiobooks arm, is launching an animated campaign today on video-on-demand.

The "noir-style" ads promote Audible’s key genres - horror, crime, comedy and science fiction.

The sci-fi film features a pair of headphones that blend into a robot head, and uses a voiceover by Steven Berkoff. The end copy explains, "Experience science fiction like never before. The difference is Audible."

Audible is looking to drum up membership by "raising awareness of the unique power of storytelling and the role that audio entertainment can play in people’s lives".

The work has been created by Fold 7, which picked up the account in July following a competitive pitch. Dan Fryer and Gate Lambert handled the art direction and copywriting.

1st Ave Machine handled the production. Initiative was the media planning and buying agency.

The campaign will run on All 4, Sky Go, ITV, 5 Demand, and on radio channels Classic FM, Magic and Heart.
