
The event, presented by Jaguar Land Rover, is a sporting championship for injured members of the armed forces and will take place on 10-14 September at the Olympic Park. The Royal Foundation of The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry, and the Ministry of Defence, announced the launch last month.
Mark Emmerson, head of hospitality at the Arcelor Mittal Orbit, confirmed to Event the venue's event spaces would be used for various VIP hospitality events during the Games.
The Orbit can host up to 250 standing or 180 seated, while the Podium space, 50 metres from the Orbit, can host meetings and events for up to 220 standing or 90 seated.
The event will kick off with an opening ceremony on 10 September, with a programe including athletics, archery, cycling and swimming. Events will be staged at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, and track and field events will be held at the Lee Valley Athletics Centre.
Emmerson added there are plans to use the Arcelor Mittal Orbit as a hospitality venue for the 2015 Rugby World Cup.
The Arcelor MIttal Orbit will reopen to the public this Saturday (5 April), along with other areas of the Olympic Park.
