AOP calls for entries to online publishing awards

LONDON - The UK Association of Online Publishers has begun its call for entries to its 2006 Awards with the launch of a dedicated microsite.

The covers the event and the introduction of an online advertising campaign category to its roster of 14 awards.

Endorsed by the IPA, the online advertising campaign award aims to reward the creative use of digital media for a marketing campaign and foster strong relationships between the media owner and agency and advertiser communities.

Now in their fifth year, the AOP Online Publishing Awards celebrate excellence in all aspects of multimedia publishing with 14 categories spanning a range of publishing areas, including: launch; editorial team; design; online advertising sales team; online advertising campaign; innovation; cross-media project; use of new digital platform; commercial partnership; website; and, of course, online publisher.

In 2006, entry to the awards will be by online submission only via the microsite, which has developed with technology partners HCUK. The closing date for entries is July 28 2006.

We are delighted to have launched a new entry and booking microsite to offer a convenient way for publishers to participate in the event."

The awards will be presented at a celebratory dinner on October 4 at the London Hilton on Park Lane following the one-day AOP Online Publishing Conference 2006.
