Nvigorate, which has a customer base covering brands in the financial, retail, automotive, travel and leisure industries, will now provide all of its services, which were previously marketed as OnePlace, will now be under the control of Alterian.
Alterian said the demand for marketing resources management software was developing rapidly, and that it required database resources to meet that requirement.
Luke McKeever, Alterian's executive vice-president of corporate development, said: "The demand for marketing resource management is expanding, particularly in North America where regulation is an additional driver.
"By combining [Nvigorate's] capability with Alterian's market-leading integrated marketing platform, Alterian has a very compelling proposition for our current business partners and their customers."
Nvigorate added that using its OnePlace package was the "ideal complement" to Alterian's existing capacity in online marketing, campaign management and reporting.
Richard Goat, chief executive officer at Nvigorate, said: "The integrated technology platform that will emerge from this transaction features the most complete functionality available in the market."
In May, Alterian acquired Los Angeles-based email and online marketing firm Dynamics Direct for an undisclosed amount.
