Alterian updates Engine marketing data software

LONDON - Alterian has released the latest version of its marketing data infrastructure software, Engine 4.0, which promises to support the advanced analytics that marketers increasingly need.

The software is designed to house all the information marketers need in order to analyse and execute integrated multichannel marketing programs, in addition to providing improved performance and scalability.

Alterian's Engine 4.0 supports multi-tenancy, allowing multiple instances of the marketing data infrastructure to run on a single server, reducing the number of disparate software products and associated hardware required, and increasing the use of existing hardware investments.

It also allows for increased scalability and speed, providing marketers with the means to keep up with rapidly escalating volumes of web and transaction data.

New features deliver enhanced support for high volume database loads and provide users with upgraded administration and monitoring functions as well as advanced control over how instances utilise hardware resources.

Christian Wright, chief technology officer at data services provider and Alterian user Merkle, said Engine 4.0 addressed a critical demand in the marketplace.

He said: "The role of the marketing department is expanding and organisations need the ability to embrace expansion without fear of outgrowing their marketing platforms. Engine 4.0 supports the advanced analytics marketers should come to expect as well as the scalability that will allow them to reach full potential."
