The campaign by The Viral Factory interlinks six YouTube films. Each starts out with the flattering self-shots before revealing the ugly truth and real identity about those taking the pictures.
One turns out to be a witch, another a Roswell-like alien while a third is a monstrous gorgon from Greek mythology.
In another a shot of a group of friends turns out to be a group of blood dripping zombies.
The videos, after revealing the truth, show how they got the best results using the Samsung ST550.
The camera has an image screen on the front of the camera as well as the back, which allows the person taking the picture of themselves to take better "self-shots".
Samsung said it developed the camera after research showed that people were increasing taking self shots to share with their friends on social media sites like Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.
Ed Robinson, Viral Factory founder, said: "The Samsung research revealed that a surprisingly high percentage of photos are 'self-shots', so it's brilliantly obvious to have a screen on the front of the camera as well as the back.
"These photos are mostly taken to be shared through social media, so our task was to find a relevant idea which spoke to this audience.
"Hopefully we demonstrate how even the most grotesque-looking of us can look sexy and cool by using the angles and offer a couple of tips on how to make the most of the cheats yourself."
