Aldi revamps logo

Aldi, the German discount supermarket that has reshaped the UK grocery industry in recent years, has unveiled a refreshed logo.

Aldi revamps logo

The new logo was revealed by the German parent company, Aldi Süd, last week. It has been introduced in China, and will start to appear in other countries gradually. Aldi confirmed it would be coming to the UK, but no date has been set.

It retains the same colour scheme and basic design elements as the current logo, introduced in 2006, but uses a new typeface for the name and a more complex ribbon design.

Aldi Süd’s communications director Kirsten Geß said: "The fresh, visual presentation of the new logo is an ideal fit with the current modernisation process at Aldi Süd."
