Home to the BT Convention Centre and Echo Arena, the venue has hosted two events in the past week – an NHS Confederation meeting and the stage show production of Mama Mia!.
The two events welcomed more than 57,000 people, but the thing that impressed Event most was that – thanks to Mama Mia! – Echo Arena sold its largest number of tickets ever (54,000) and hosted its longest performance run (three weeks).
A commemorative plaque was presented to the cast members to acknowledge the achievement.
It has also been announced this week that the BT Convention Centre will host British Telecom’s AGM in July.
