Absolute launches unbranded commercial online radio site

LONDON - Absolute Radio is launching a new unbranded website with the aim of driving people to listen to radio online.

Absolute launches unbranded commercial online radio site

Comparemyradio.co.uk will allow users to search for music by radio station, artist or track.

CompareMyRadio.com will initially be launched commercial-free, but Absolute is planning to sell ads on the site.

The site lists stations including Capital FM, BBC radio stations, Galaxy, Kiss, NME, Smooth and XFM.

Users will be able to search through ‘now-playing information'. Once a user has found their station of choice, there is a link straight through to the station's website to listen live.

CompareMyRadio.com has been developed by Absolute's digital lab, One Golden Square Labs.

The launch project for the group was a new online radio station called Dabbl.
