Previously, at UKTV, she headed up marketing for the portfolio of factual channels including Eden, Blighty and Yesterday.
Holt will report into Global's group marketing director Giles Pearman and will be responsible for driving and implementing marketing strategies across the three brands.
Holt's departure has prompted a restructure of the UKTV marketing team.
Holt recently oversaw a partnership with retailer Ted Baker as part of the push behind the launch of the Blighty channel. UKTV People was relaunched as Blighty in February and its partnership with Ted Baker was the first time the clothes retailer had signed with another brand.
Holt also teamed up with Lonely Planet to promote the launch of its first rebranded factual channel, Eden, from UKTV Documentary early this year.
Emily Latham, marketing manager for GOLD, has taken on additional responsibilities for factual channels Eden, Blighty and Yesterday.
Julia Restall will continue as Dave's marketing manager but will also provide strategic marketing on GOLD.
Rachael Fielding and Denise Wallin will stay in their posts as marketing managers on Watch and Alibi, and Good Food, Home and Really respectively.
